Hello 2010

This saturday was the first round of the Skylimit Drift Cup. It was held in Enspijk for the first time, so a new fresh track for everyone to explore.

First a little update on the car, Carrosserie Vangelooven gave the car a new coat of paint. I changed the lca's to s13 items with ps knuckels and longer tie rods. Changed the clutch to a Exedy stage 2 item did general tidy up of the entire car.

Saturday was the first time driving the car with the new suspension setup. Exciting times, so couldn't wait to get there. First we picked up Kevin and then we got on our way. After a 1 and a half hour drive we got to Enspijk. I was happy about the weather as well, no rain and not too cold.

After setting up the car and doing the paperwork we got to driving. After the first lap I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Wet, slippery and technical is a good combination for lots of spinning. I think that all the drivers had a hard time adjusting, but by the end of the day everyone was going hard.

Kevin was competing in the Amateur class and I'm in Pro. But unfortunately Kevin had to drop out before the comp started with a busted turbo. The corolla on the other hand was going better than ever. Kept pushing harder and harder on the and ended up doing 95-100kmh entry's. Only 4 competitors in the pro-class ment I was in the finals already, but 2 had to drop out with car trouble. So with only 2 drivers left, I just did my best and played it safe.

Resulting in my first win. I'm very happy, but would have been happier if the other drivers could have driven as well. At least I currently have the lead in the championship, so I'm gonna push it this year to get the title.

It took some time to get the pictures up, but here are some.

Weekend was great for me, my first top 16 qualification.

I'm back to work on the car, I took out the glass windows and put in some plastic ones, cut out lots of unnessesary metal and modded the trunk lid and hood. Next up is some new vinyl :) And then start saving up for the engine and suspension transplant :)

I really like the color, comes out very good with a few colorfull stickers. Wanna keep it very simple sticker-wise, so only a few more that are mandatory for the comp and that's it.

I hope you guys like the colorchoice, I wanted something different but not too flashy.

Respray :D

Sorry about the last post, went to make some pictures of the car, ended up sanding and spraying :)

I'm working my way from the front to the back, front fenders and doors are done, tomorrow i'll get on with the rear fender/roof and trunklid. I'm using spraycans, it's looking very good so far. By no means the perfect paintjob, but it looks great :)

Not going to reveal the color yet, but i'll get pictures up when it's finished. Should be this weekend;)
